CTA EU 2019 Conference Cannabis Trade Association
June 9 - June 10
Cannabis Trade Association CTA EU Conference – It was a great space for networking and B2B, with non-members meeting members and connecting. We are happy to open our doors to non-members because we think that by spreading the word beyond our members is a good thing. Nearly 300 delegates attended, with both European and International visitors able to meet with their British counterparts and business colleagues. Not only is compliance to association standards important, but there are also further issues with the legality of certain products and it’s this understanding that we hope to communicate to our delegates, throughout the event, in workshops, discussions, and presentations from our chosen speakers.
Cannabis Trades Association – we are growing – over 700 Registered Businesses Since January 2017
The Hemp Trades Association UK Limited t/as The Cannabis Trades Association (CTA) is the only cannabinoid centric trade association for the UK and Europe, working with all sectors of the hemp and cannabis industry to promote good practice, provide practical advice and ensure consumers of legal cannabis and hemp products have access to top quality information.
After meetings with the MHRA in November 2016, we were told unequivocally that…
If the industry does not work together to ensure standards and advice is consistent and above all legal, there will not be an industry.
Since this time we have worked consistently with the MHRA and the FSA as recognized Stakeholders to the official guidance given by both authorities as well as working with many local council and law enforcement agencies up and down the country. We are the largest Hemp and Cannabis Association by Membership in the world, representing over 2000 businesses and working with the Government to establish legislation to ensure the industry has proper and effective guidance.
“To be recognised and acknowledged by the trade, the public and Government as the only association in the sector with the expertise and knowledge to ensure the safety of each and every Member product”.
The CTA’s seal of approval is earned, never given, we are the only association testing, vetting, and checking each and every member and their products to ensure safety, legality and of course to ensure products are marketed correctly and compliantly.
Remembering the words of the MHRA back at our meeting on November the 2nd 2016…”if the industry does not work together to ensure the standards and advice is consistent and above all legal, there will not be an industry”. Something we’ve taken very much to heart.
